(Workshop) Mindful Families: Ways to Harmonize the Home – Together

Yvonne Gardner and Paula Petry, PhD have joined their training and talents to bring you this powerfully engaging and impactful program.

Through fun and engaging activities, with parents and children together and separately, you will:

  • Develop closer parent-child relationships
  • Learn simple and practical parenting techniques
  • Make requests the child responds to the first time
  • Develop empowering family values
  • Reduce stress, anxiety, and worry
  • Help child solve their own problems
  • Embrace empowering personal beliefs

Program Highlights:

The first hour with Dr. Paula, parents and children are together learning ways to reduce worry and anxiety through mindfulness techniques and by using the arts.

During the second hour parents explore with Yvonne:

  • Putting an end to arguing, back talk and begging
  • Teaching responsibility without losing their love
  • Setting limits without waging war
  • Avoiding power-struggles
  • Guiding children to own and solve their problems
  • Teaching children to complete chores

During the second hour children explore with Paula through stories and the arts:

  • Being okay with their feelings
  • Ways to manage their anger
  • Choosing happiness over other negative emotions
  • Mindfulness games to help focus the mind

Dr. Paula Petry has her doctorate degree in special education from the University of Miami, and has extensive training in family empowerment, mindfulness, and the mind/body connection.

Yvonne Gardner has extensive training and experience in parenting programs. She is a certified trainer in the Parenthood rx curriculum which she taught for many years in the Los Angeles school system.

Fee: $100 for the 10 hours of training
